Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress and has gained fame in Canada by her character as Bo. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk were both scholars. Ilkay was also a director, producer and playwright. She's the Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother while at work, and also attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk featured in a number of commercials when she was a kid. She was a graduate of St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in the early years: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved in Toronto in her quest to act and progress, and then moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she began to meet him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. They got married in 2009, and were married with a civil ceremony December of that year. Following her conversion to Judaism the couple renewed their wedding vows at the Jewish ceremony on April 10, 2011, in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron, her second baby was born on 13 May 2016. Silk's television work is a part of Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009 she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk revealed to fans the joyous announcement that she became pregnant during the filming of season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive to promote Season Three. This was shown by Showcase at a special Season Three show held January 6, 2013, prior to the show's premiere. Silk tweeted on June 20th, 2013 that the series was returning for a fourth season of production. Season Four debuted on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. CNN's Cable News Network named her performance as Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) on Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top television Couples. E! named them the Top Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge social media following, including Facebook and Twitter as a direct result of its popularity.
